Mid Face Filler

specially at the end of the 20s and the beginning of the 30s, the cheeks begin to lose their old plump appearance. With the decrease in the volume of adipose tissue and the loosening of the connective tissues that hold them in place, displacement and sagging are seen. The mid-face area is flattened, the relationship between the lower eyelid and cheek is disturbed, the under-eyes look tired, the folds on the nasolabial region between the nose and lip increase, the corner of the lip turns downward, causing a sad expression, the sagging on the lower face continues past the chin line and into the chin-neck disrupts the sharp transition of the line.

All these events actually happen before our eyes, but due to slow events, they are usually first noticed in photographs.

The facial features of youth, resembling a triangle at the top, gradually become rectangular.

The aim of mid-face filling is to replace what we lost over time with hyaluronic acid fillings, to reduce the sad and tired expression, to support the tissues that start to sag over time, and to carry them upwards with vectorial forces. Mid-face filling is often preferred to provide suitable and solid support before under-eye filling, nasolabial filling or jaw line filling applications. It reduces the amount of filler to be applied in these areas, reduces the rectangular appearance of the face, and provides oval and curved, prominent and strong facial features.

When is the change seen before and after mid-face filling?

Its effects are immediately visible and last for an average of 12-18 months. Since the fillers also stimulate the production of collagen while melting, better results are often observed even after the melting period of the fillers is completed than before the filling.
